The online abstract submission center will be open starting June 1, 2017. Abstracts should be no more than 300 words and must describe the research objectives, scope, method used, major findings from the work, and implications of the research. The submission should relate to one of the conference topics. All contributions should be of high quality, original, and not published or under consideration for publication elsewhere during the review period. A maximum of one illustration is allowed, but is optional. If accepted, the abstract and image will be reproduced in an abstract book.
Abstracts will be reviewed by members of the International Scientific Committee (ISC) and may then be invited for an Oral or Poster Presentation.
1. Log into the Submission Portal here. If this is your first time using the Submission Portal, you must create an account.
2. Create a New Abstract.
3. Select Submission Type (Oral, Poster, Either).
4. Select the Conference Topic you are submitting under.
5. Enter your Abstract Title.
6. Enter your abstract (300 words or less).
7. Upload up to 1 figure (word, ppt, pdf, jpeg, and png file formats). All images must be “print-ready” with a minimum 300 DPI at the time of submission; maximum size is 4”x6”.
8. Enter up to 5 keywords to describe your abstract (minimum 3 required).
9. Enter information for all co-authors (e-mail address is required).
After review of abstracts, authors may then be invited to submit a full paper (maximum of 6 pages). All papers will be peer reviewed anonymously by two members of the International Scientific Committee (ISC). A paper will be accepted if both reviewers recommend acceptance. If one of the reviewers rejects a paper, a third ISC member will review the paper to reach the final decision.
Selected papers will be invited to submit a full paper for peer-reviewed publication in a journal such as ASHRAE – Science and Technology of the Built Environment (STBE), Journal of Building Physics, Building Performance Simulation, and Technology Architecture Design (TAD).
After review of abstracts, authors may then be invited to submit a poster presentation. All posters will be peer reviewed anonymously by two members of the International Scientific Committee (ISC). A poster will be accepted if both reviewers recommend acceptance. If one of the reviewers rejects a paper, a third ISC member will review the poster to reach the final decision.
Submissions for full forum sessions will be accepted in late 2017. Forum sessions will be fully planned by the submitter, include at least 2 speakers, and will encourage discussion among the participants. Further information will be forthcoming.
